About Us

Established in 1944 by R.J. Teague, Teague Lumber Company is considered to be the elite lumberyard of Fort Worth. R.J.’s goal was always to “sell quality products at a fair price.” He was a Christian gentleman, who was very active and a faithful steward in his church.  His favorite Bible scripture was Romans 8:31; “If God be for us, who can be against us?” R.J. retired at the young age of 97.

R.J.’s son Jim Teague continued in his father’s footsteps. Jim ran the business for years, before turning the reins over to Paul Teague (R.J.’s grandson), Brandon Teague (R.J.’s great grandson) and Stephanie Gilley. They continue to maintain Teague Lumber’s high standards that R.J. originally set.

At Teague Lumber, we pride ourselves in being able to locate the hard-to-find items that most of our competitors rarely attempt to find. We also offer complete material takeoffs at no charge, as well as providing design assistance. We sell other products besides lumber including ordering doors, windows, siding, trim and so much more inside our traditional hardware store.
